Lead time offset

Hi Guys,

There is a requirement as follows.

Product A is made up of B.Finished product A should start exactly 15 mins after semifinshed product B starts.

if the semifinished product starts at 10.00 AM then the finished product should start at 10.15.

I think this cannot be mapped by lead time offset in BOM. As its the other way round. here irrespective of time and quantity, the finished product start time has to be 15 mins after the start of its child that is B. Is this possible?

I don't think we have any functionality in Routing or so, to support this requirement.

APO-PPDS could address this.

Hi Shruthi,

Scheduling based on dependent material is not possible in ECC R3.

You can use schedule margin key to schedule with float before production, but this will not have link to dependent material.

May be you can post this question in APO forum, option may be there in PPDS.

Hi,

Dependent requirements for materials should end at the time production starts for the material. In scheduling margin key for finished good A you can specify buffer before production as 15 mins. This will make scheduling work as you desire. However this buffer will be valid for all planned orders of A. I believe it is not possible to specify a buffer for material A only after material B.
