Auto population of selection criteria for standard search help

Dear all,

I want to auto populate the search criteria of a standard search help. For example consider, one input field which is mapped to the attribute of context node which is of data type 'MATNR' (Material Number). Now when we execute the application, the standard search help for material will appear. In this standard search help, there are fields available for search criteria, i want to auto populate the field plant from my program. How can it be achieved ?
