I want to remove/reverse last months depreciation posted only for some asset and tried ABAA with transaction type "640 -Unplanned depreciation on prior-year acquisitions" , but when i give negative value for amount (-100) it errors with:
Message no. 00126
I tried setting option all values allowed for "unplanned depreciation" in the depreciation area and also created a "Z" transaction type with debit entry, still did not work.
Any help on this is appreciated..................
Found out the answer myself.

Anusha,
Copy the standard transaction type "640" or "650" according to your need and create a Z transaction type. Make sure you select the debit radio button instead of credit, before saving the new transaction type.
Use the newly created transaction type and enter postive dollar value only in the input screen. Simulate and look at the line item details for each depreciation area. It will negate the depreciation means depreciation will be reduced.
Please reward points

my scenario:I have an asset and i would like to reduce depreciation in net book value only.how can i fix this issue.
Thanks,
Anusha
In Asset Accounting SPRO go to Unplanned Depreciation -> Determine depreciation areas. and select "All values allowed" in your depreciation areas.
Also use "220 - Depreciation" for Consolidation transaction type in the transaction type you defined.
Note that: with the new transaction type you created (with debit) just use this and input positive value, once posted it will reverse the depreciation, also you can simulate the line items and see how the values are transformed.
