Hi

I have put the Time interval as 1 hour and aggretaion interval as 15 min and the sender business system as BC_01

I get the below information.....I am not able to understand the following -

1. What is the "processing time" here....i mean is it total time required for all the messages in one interval   For e.g what is 0.656 here?

2. Also what is Rate ? For e.g. what is 59.7 here?

Hi Hema,

The "Rate" is the number of messages (column "Number"), divided by the total time of a given period. For instance for line two:

period is 15 minutes = 0,25 hours

15 messages / 0,25 hours = 60,0 messages per hour

For line one:

period is 15:47:56 to 16:00:00 = 12 minutes 4 seconds = 0,201 hours

12 messages / 0,201 hours = 59,7 messages per hour

and so on.

The Processing Time is an average processing time of a message, over the given period.

If I have specified the aggregation interval as  " 15 min " why is the second line showing messages only

for 12 minutes 4 seconds (15:47:56 to 16:00:00)

Most probably in addition to aggregation interval of 15 minutes, you have also chosen to display messages only from the last hour (Time Interval = Last Hour). The Start timestamp must have been set to 30.07.2012, 15:47:56, just like the first "Interval Start" timestamp. Make sure to set the start and end timestamps according to your requirements. The Time Interval = Free Entry might prove helpful for this purpose.

Here you are just checking the messages for 15 min.

1)Number

   NUmber of meesages  processed in XI

2)Size

  Average size if the messages that XI has processed

3) Processing Time,

Average processing time taken to process an single message within interval of 15 min

4)Rate

How many messages XI processed in 15 min interval of time
