hi all, I need to print a blank page when the outmost group changes. The report is formatted with multiple columns and between the columns there are lines. I tried creating two pageHeder (one with the blank page and one with the real header) with suppress formula on each one depending on the changes of the key.

It faild becouse for some reason the innermost group ..... actually its a bit complicated to explain but i think that it is not this the correct way to print a blank page at gropBreak.

is there a way to do it. thank you all

thank you Shahnawaz. now i'm at home and I don't have data saved. I have to wait tomorow but what you wrote gives me hope. Let's hope the multicolums formatting required in my report wouldn't interfere with it.

I'll let you know, thank you again

Hi,

Create another group footer section that is large enough to fit the page.

On the outermost group, make sure you have 'New Page After' checked. This will push the new group footer that you created on a new page.

Since this new group footer is large enough to stay on that page, you get a blank page.

Hope this helps!

thank you for your help but the report most have the "Format with multiple columns" and  the "Format groups with multiple columns" checks checked. this seams to prevent your your idea(any idea actually) to work properly.

Could you attach the report with saved data please?

Before you attach the report, please change the extension to .txt.

this is the most successfull attempt....it's pity I didn't manege to split the group5 section from the bottom of the blank page.

it's done. i finally did it.

I used a subreport lunched per each outmost group.

Let's hope to not have surprises.

Hi VD,

You can try the following steps

1. Report menu >> Section Expert  >> click on Details section

2. Paging tab >> select Landscape Radio button

3. Select the outermost  group apply same settings for paging

4. Select the innermost group apply same settings for paging

5. click ok

The above setting would insert blank page after each inermost group that is before the outer most group changes. However the first page will be blank and the size of pages will change. i.e. every alternate page will be landscape or default
