MDG Portal access

Hello Experts,

    I have been able to execute change Requests for Material and supplier via PFCG transaction and going through roles SAP_MDGS for supplier and SAP_MDGM for materials and then executing the change requests.

1) I would like to know from a business user point of view, how can i directly log on to portal and see the consolidated menu options like create Supplier / Change Supplier  / etc.

2) Can MDG be executed via SAP GUI without using WDA application.

Hi Suhel,

1)  When i look at the roles that you are using, it seems to be EhP5 that you are using. For EhP5, the following is the portal content that is delivered for MDG

• Master Data Governance for Financial
  • Business Package for Financial MDM 1.51 (BPERPFINMDM)
  • Business Package for Common Parts 1.51 (BPERP5COM)
• Master Data Governance for Material
  • Business Package for Material Governance 1.50 (BPERPMDGM)
  • Business Package for Financial MDM 1.51 (BPERPFINMDM)
  • Business Package for Common Parts 1.51 (BPERP5COM)
• Master Data Governance for Supplier
  • Business Package for Supplier Governance 1.50 (BPERPMDGS)
  • Business Package for Financial MDM 1.51 (BPERPFINMDM)
  • Business Package for Common Parts 1.51 (BPERP5COM)

You can use this content to access MDG via SAP portal.

2) MDG UIs are completely based on WebDynpro as per the UI strategy of SAP and hence it is not possible to use SAP GUI to access MDG functionality.

Adding to that do you know that it can be accessed directly through SAP NetWeaver Business Client [NWBC] easily launched through SAP GUI where you can see everything consolidated:
