How Material cost elements are getting updated in CK11N?

Hi Gurus,

In CK11N Activities are updated under secondary cost elements with 43 category, as we have assigned them in activity type master record. But I would like to know how system is able to post material prices under exactly material cost elements in CK11N. I mean where we have established relation between material cost elements and CK11N updation.

Please give me a brief on this, So that I will be much clear on CK11N.

Hi Satish,

We assign all material consumption GL and Activity cost element with 43 category in cost component structure.

cost component structure is grouping your standard cost estimate to cost component which is assigned under cost component.

the same consumption GL is assigned to OBYC under GBB-vbr in order to post actual consumption on same cost element.

same consumption gl are linked to cost component structure as well. So that our standard and actual cost are show under same cost element and we can do the standard v/s actual comparision as well.
