I did some changes (add/remove attributes, activate new navigation
attributes) to infoobject 0DOC_NUMBER in IWE and transported it into
IWT. For some reasons it is not possible to activate it there. I tried
it 3 times with retransport (e.g. IWEK937339), but it is not activated.
There is an error message "Characteristic 0DOC_NUMBER: Size of X/Y table
does not fit P/Q table ". The long text asks me to use transaction RSRV
to analyse the problem. But I can't analyse it, because it is inactive.
Hi Anita,
You can run this function module - RSDMD_REORG_P_Q_T_TABLE to reorganise your master data. Just do a simulate and check.
Hope it helps.

Hi Anita,
When you transport a request you first need to release the request.
Next is either to create a transport proposal OR use a custom built program to do the transport. Either way you would have to give the transport request number, system where you want to transport to and the client #. Besides you would have an option where you select the choices you want. You would fine the "Overwrite Orginal" as one of the choice there.
Hope I made it clear.
PS:The transport procedure is similar to R/3. You can even approach any of the R/3 ppl in your project.
Bye
Dinesh.

Hi Anita,
Try to delete all master and transaction data related to that characteristic object and then.
Try to activate your object in back ground. Because after doing any changes to the existing objects system need to re-build the P/Q tables and DDIC Dictionary . it may take more time.
Hope it helps.

Ramesh
Hi Anita,
Try the following:
1. Activate the info-object in Dev. Make sure everything is right.
2. Transport it to QA(test system) with the following options during transport: Overwrite Orginal
and Overwite Original in Unconfirmed Repairs..
This would hopefully resolve your problem.
Bye
Dinesh.

Hi,
First Run Transaction RSRV check for your Infoobject in your development system. Once the RSRV check gets successfull create new transport for the active Infoobject.
Thank you
Arun

hi,
but in dev system everything was OK, yes?
1. go to stms or se09 and check transport logs, maybe there was some problems with transport
2. empty MD table of 0DOC_NUMBER on target system before transport
3. do never change Business Content objects!!! make copy of them and change copy.
Regards,
Andrzej
Are you sure you deleted all the data in the target system??
