as a SRM consultant what kind of activites we have to perform in XI?

Do we need to setup integrartion from SRM to PI and PI to R3 or else only SRM to PI is sufficient?

Please calrify my point with some patience

Hi Malay & Vinay,

thanks for the info.

Can you clarify my point whether do we require integration between PI and R3 as well to use plan driven procurement and contract management?

because i read in library there is a wizard process in PI for SRM and PI integration. What about R3 and PI integration

Regards

Hi,

MM-SUS: PI is required.

Plan Driven Procurement: PI is optional(mandatory in case you use CPPR)

Central Contract Management: PI is required.

hi Vinay,

If we are using SRM7.0( ERP_4.0 activated) and EHP4  then also for PDP ,PI is optional.

Hi,

If you are on ERP_4.0, then PI is mandatory.

But in case of PDP you can go with either report BBP_EXTREQ TRANSFER (where PI is not mandaroty) or BAdi ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST (CPPR- where PI is mandatory.)

Now it's your call the way you want to proceed with PDP scenario.

I hope it helps.

Hi,

As a SRM consultant you don't need to do much in XI. XI consultant will take care of settings in XI. You can provide RFC/LS details if required.

As well you should refer document Plan Driven Procurement available on SAP Service Market Place, it will give you basic idea of MM-SUS configuration & roles that to be played by SRM consultant.

As a SRM consultant you need to carry out settings in all the systems for which you need to do the integration.

For example for SRM to R/3 integration you have to configure the settings in both the systems for depending on the scenario (ex service procurement classic).

Please follow the configuration guide available in service market place for the SRM version you use.

PI consultant has to carry out the required setting in PI system. The configuration steps for PI is also available in the above document.

With Regards,
