Crystal Report multiple line item display/ Publishing issues/LOVs creation using business view management

Hello everyone,

Can anyone give me the information about following questions?

1) In one of my crystal report I have multiple line items value for one field along with other single value fields with respect to a key field (which is used as a linkage between two data bases), but when I am executing the report, its displaying the redundant records along with those multiple line item values. Can anyone tell me how should design my report so that it could display single entry for those fields which are having single values and multiple entries for that filed which is having multiple line item values with respect to that key field in the report display?

2) Can we publish the crystal report having multiple data sources (in my case one data source belongs to BW query fields and other one refers to function module fields created inside CRM) ?

3) How can we get dynamic LOVs inside a crystal report? Also can we refresh/schedule the LOVs dynamically ?

4) What are the steps to create dynamic LOVs using business views management?

Many thanks in advance....

    Hi Vikas,

    1) Why don't you create groups in your report using the Group Expert? This way you can suppress the Details section and get rid of the redundant records.

    2) Yes you can publish a Crystal report that has multiple datasources.

    3) You can create a new parameter from the 'Field Explorer'. In the Edit Parameter screen, choose 'Dynamic' as the type of the parameter and from the 'Value List' choose the field that you wish to create the parameter off.

The LOVs can be scheduled using a tool called the 'Business View Manager'. When you save a report from the CR designer to the BO Enterprise, certain objects along with the LOVs are automatically created in the repository. You can then manage the LOV from the tool.

    Hope this helps!
