Problem in CK40N

Hello Experts,

I have run cost estimate through CK40N for Semifinished materials where in there are 768 materials selected but during release status it shows only 100 materials have been costed.

Please let me know why the system considers only 100 materials and not the entire 768 materials.

Hi Deepa,

DO we have transfer control configured in SAP.

If yes then system will consider only new materials or change in a material quantity structure.

pls select 'Always REcost in selection screen under CK40N IF TRANSFER CONTROL HAS BEEN CONFIGURED and you want all materials will be recosted.

In the transfer control configuration i have seen that p000 exists please let me know where is it assigned as i have selected only those materials for which mass changes have been made but still only few of them are been recosted.

Hi Deepa,

Pls select 'Always recost material" option from Selection in CK40N.

System will ignore the transfer control functionality and will recost all the materials.

Transfer control has been configured in CO

Please use CKMATSEL transaction to select the materials & then run ck40n.

Please let me know the difference between the selection made in CKMATSEL and CK40N as there is no difference between them.

Hi,

Before running CK40n you can use CKMATSEL transaction for selecting the list of materials which you want to cost & name the selection list.Use this selection list in ck40n. The reason why i suggested this was since you said that only 100 materials were costed.

Dear Deepa,

When executing CK40N,check during structure explosion and costing if there are any errors.

For some of the semi-finished products,either the master data setup like BOM,routing may be

missing or even if the price is not maintained(may be the MAP,planned price/Price in the purchase

info record),the system throws error and during marking and release the system will perform only for

the materials without any costing erros.You can click on the error shown under each step like

structure explosion,costing ,marking to analyse the same.

Hello Mangalraj,

In structure exposion it is saying that the costing cannot be done for scrap material and there is only 1 such material but taking that as n exception i am not finding any reason for why the other material's are not getting costed

Dear Deepa,

Are there any non-stock/non-valuated materials also included?

Generally the system issues the error/warning messages related to the materials for which are

included in the cost estimate or say for which costing is possible.

You can just crosscheck by setting the material type/entering the materials list during the first step

in selection and concluding how many materials is the system still picking.

Check and revert back.

Hello Mangalraj,

Total No of material is 768 but the cost estimate is done only for 100 materials. also i have checked in MB5B for all the materials as on the date of costing run but the materials that are non valuated and non stock have also been updated in the costing run.
