Get Chief PERNR of ORG Unit even when the position is vacant

Hi All,

I am new to HR, I know how to get the PERNR of a Chief in ORG Unit by using the FM HRCM_ORGUNIT_MANAGER_GET.

My problem is: If I go bottom up in the hierarchy and the immediate chief position is vacant in the ORG Unit, how can I go look further up in the hierarchy until I get the next available Chief?

Hi

Can you check this FM RH_GET_LEADER, If you are passing the emp id and getting position and checking the org unit A012 releationship, if that does not exists may be you need loop or check next level A012-manager with employee Org unit reports to another org unit - B002. (O-O)

Tables - HRP1000 -Object, HRP1001 Relationship

FM RH_GET_LEADER works as required.

Agree with Venkata.. try the function RH_GET_LEADER  it also has a parameter CONSIDER_VAC_POS which should automatically take you up the org hierarchy till you get a filled manager position.
