I am having issues upgrading few components on the SOLMAN system via SUM as i keep getting an error constantly while inputting Java Administrator Credentials.

Log:

Jan 2, 2017 11:26:51 AM [Info ]: Validatable parameter J2EE/J2EEADMIN/PWD has been validated by validator RequiredFields. Jan 2, 2017 11:26:51 AM [Info ]: Validating password of JEE Engine User J2EE_ADMIN. Jan 2, 2017 11:26:52 AM [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException: Could not display dialog UserPasswords. Could not execute dialog UserPasswords. See previous messages. Error while trying to validate Administrator password. Possible reasons: the J2EE engine is not started or P4 service does not listen on 127.0.0.1:50004. If the server is running fix the P4 issue seeing in the guide "Starting the Software Update Manager / Prerequisites" com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NamingException: Exception while trying to get InitialContext. [Root exception is com.sap.engine.interfaces.cross.DestinationException: Cannot establish connection with any of the available instances: 127.0.0.1:50004 Reason: com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection on host: 127.0.0.1 and port: 50004] com.sap.engine.interfaces.cross.DestinationException: Cannot establish connection with any of the available instances: 127.0.0.1:50004 Reason: com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection on host: 127.0.0.1 and port: 50004 .

Been searching for few days for people with similar issues but no one was provided with a solid solution, things i've tried so far:

- Checked instance parameters.

- Checked related SAP notes.

- Checked P4 port settings on configtool

- Checked Hosts file.

- Using latest SUM version.

- Upgraded SAP Host Agent to the latest SP.

And few other lying around fixes.

Any help would be appreciated.
