    Hi,

IF your Query is taking more time on DB then we can go for Aggregates.

% of DB time > 30% of DB time, I.e. the time spent on database is a substantial part of the whole query run time.

    Hi

Whenever u execute the query , the query will hits to the OLAP MANAGER , in turn the OLAP MANAGER will fetch the data from the corresponding table ( it may be infocube , dso etc..) .

SO here the time taken by the olap manager to fetch data from the corresponding table is known as db time. That should not be more that 30% , if it is more than 30% , then we have improve the perfomance by creating the aggregating , paritiioning , compression etc.. .

    Hope u got it,

    Regards,

    Hi,

Total query run time = DB time +Front end time +OLAP time.

Here, if the DB time is more than 30% of total query run time then, we should think of aggregates.

As our friends said DB time is time taken by OLAP engine to search data from Infocube.

    Anand.

    Hi KK,

    Aggr Rule

1.The aggregation ratio is more than 10%.menas10 times more records are read than are displayed.

Aggr ratio=no.of records selected from DB/No.of records transferred to Bex

    2.If DB time is > 30%
