Data Load Design

Hi All,

I am loading data from ECC to BW. I need to convert the extracted vertical data entry into horizontal in BW. To load it into DSO as a single record.

Example,

Say I have employee with same start and end date with two wage type,

Emp ID St. Date End. Date Wage type Amt

10000001 01/12/2010 12/31/9999 1345 100

10000001 01/12/2010 12/31/9999 1489 200

While loading I want this to look as single record

Emp ID St. Date End. Date Amt(1345) Amt(1489)

10000001 01/12/2010 12/31/9999 100 200

Above is just an example I am not working on any HR project. My requirement is how to turn if for an employee with same dates into single record. If the dates are different it needs to be stored as two entries.

Emp ID St. Date End. Date Wage type Amt

10000001 01/12/2010 12/31/9999 1345 100

10000001 23/12/2012 12/31/9999 1489 200

Emp ID St. Date End. Date Amt(1345) Amt(1489)

10000001 01/12/2010 12/31/9999 100 Blank

10000001 23/12/2012 12/31/9999 Blank 200

Pls help.

Thanks,

Anand.

    Hi,

How many wage types do you have in total? To achieve this you need to write the code in end routine and loop the record N number if times (N=Number of wage types).

If you have 10 wage types then you need to create a keyfigure for each wage type and populate it with value. Performance will go down while loading depedning on the no of key figures and no of loops.

    Thanks
