ADintegration with SolMan and then SSO to ECC

I dont have portal in my landscape. Only a SolMan + ECC Systems.

How do i utilize the SolMan to achieve - "A user authenticates against AD and gets a security token that is accepted by SAP system for authentication purposes"

The scenerio I am looking for is - the authentication happens in a webpage ( Java Stack - SolMan) and then the security token is used for login (SSO) into other ABAP based SAP Systems.

1. Do i need to build a custom web page in the Java Stack of the SolMan for the authentication (wherein the AD Id and Password is used) ?

2. How to configure the SSO - security token (from the authentication in Step 1) is used for SSO in ABAP only System. Please let me know the high level steps.

Thanks!

    Hi,

Would you not consider enabling SSO from the Desktop using AD via the SAPGUI? This FAQ page discusses a lot of options: [This FAQ content was deleted: visitSAP Single Sign-On for help] but in particular I would direct you to the section describing the use of Kerberos and SAPGUI for SSO.

    Hope this helps,

    Simon

    Hallo,

sorry but I don't understand your question. You say:

"They want a second authentication apart from Desktop authentication."

    You already have that:

    1. Desktop authentication

    2. Authenticate when you login to SAP

    Regards,

    Thomas.
