Role Creation from txt file

Hi SAP Experts.

I want to know if it´s possible to create a rol from a txt file, and then upload to the backend.

Previously, I tried through LSMW tcode but there is a problem when you save the text name from the role because at that time the record stop doing that kind of process.

On the other hand, I would like to know if there is a way to create a SAP role from a file. In addition I focus on a txt file from PFCG_MASS_DOWLOAD, and that file shows a wide range of AGR* tables. Is possible to create a file like when you download from the ECC and then upload to other system and create the role??

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Why do you think creating roles from text files is the easier way?

This has been discussed recently here:How to complete the Mass Role Upload for PFCG and my advice still is: Stay away from this as there are very few checks on the imports and it is really easy to pollute your database with corrupt data in this manner.

To semi-automate role creation you can have a look at menu upload, see note 389675 - "PFCG File Format for Uploading Menus to User Roles".

In the OSS Note that you report in your answer shows the way to include the tcodes by menu but not the auth objects from every tcode.

Is possible to include those objects from a txt file?

Nope. The file download-upload is not intended for this and I am not aware of any official documentation about it's layout.

Come to think of it. If you create proper menu files and maintain SU24 for the objects they'll get pulled in automatically. So there's no real need to include the objects in a file.
