Product allocation at ship to party

Hi,

What is the field used in product allocation catelogue for ship to party?

We have used PKUMWE ..but is giving error 'no characteristic combination'

Is it the correct field or some other field is to be used to map ship-to-party from sales order in product allocation  ?

Hi,

the field kunnr is already present in the catelogue but the description of the field is 'sold to party'. We would like to check the allocations against 'ship-to-party' which is 'pkunwe'' thats why we used pkunwe which is not working.

On ECC side, when I checked the technical name, it is same (kunnr) for both 'sold to party' and 'ship to party'.

Could you please clarify which one is to be used in the field catelogue? Where to check field length of the field used in the field catelogue ?

Hi RS,

The system maps the ship-to party to the KUNNR field so that you can use it in product allocation.

The field length can be checked in table /SAPAPO/KOMGO. I meant the field length of the infoobject in the planning area should have also 20 digits.

Hi Michael,

I have checked lenght of infoobject and it is 16 where as in KOMGO is it 20. Is the issue coming because of the lenght (16) of the infoobject ?

As given in the help document:--

During transfer of chaR combinations between planning area and product allocation group, characteristic values are truncated if the actual length is GREATER than shorter of the two lenghts (i.e. komgo and infoobject) but in our case the actual ship to party length is 10 chars only.

Do we still need to match lenghts in infoobject and PAG ?

Can we change the field length of the char in KOMGO ?

Hi RS,

Yes, you should choose an infoobejct with 20 digits..otherwise you will get problems when you transfer the CVC to the PAL group. Change the infoobject and do not change the field length in KOMGO !

Like I said, the actual length of the char is always less than 16 which is shorter of the 2 ?

So still the infoobject length has to match with PAG ?

Yes, the infoobject should match exactly to the length of the field used in the the PAG !

Otherwise you will run into trouble...

I tested with new info-object with same number of chars as PAG but it is still giving the same results i.e. message 'characteristics combination for item xxxx was not found.

What could be the reason for the same ?

Hi RS,

In that case there is still a problem with the field catalogue or with the created CVC. The system could not find any CVC which fits to the field catalogue.

I suggest to raise a message at SAP support.

Hi,

The problem was with CVC. It was not taking leading zeros while creating CVCs whereas the ship to party form ECC was coming with 2 preceeding zeros so was unable to find characteristic combinations.

Hi RS,

The correct field is "KUNNR". Add this field to the field catalogue in /SAPCND/AO01 if not done yet.

Sometimes there are problems with the field length. Make sure that you work with 20 digits..
