Hi Neni,

I had the same problem the first time after the upgrade, the thing is that when you are in logical components part, you first need to mark the logical component and then click the "load monitors" button.

Hi Neni,

When you are in BPMon setup session, in the solution you are monitoring, you need to click on the "Logical Components". There on the right side of the window, you can find the list of all the logical components that are added to your solution. Mark one of them and click on the "Load Monitor Definitions". Then you will be able to load the definitions for this specific logical component.

Hej Neni,

Did you define some Business process in your solution?

In the right step in your business process you need to create an IDOC monitor (it's one of the interface monitors).

You need to know whether you're monitoring inbound or outbound IDOCs, message type and which situation for you should give an alert (for example IDOC in status 51 for longer than 5 minutes).

Take a look at the guide for the new version to get some overview of how it looks like in the current UI

www.service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000706302012E.pdf

But I think what you need is to look here: https://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000094530&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_...

In this guide from page 28 you have a detailed explanation of IDOC monitoring setup.

Hi Jolanta,

I just looking to configure a simple scenario for IDOC monitoring as i mention in the able steps.

"You need to know whether you're monitoring inbound or outbound IDOCs, message type and which situation for you should give an alert (for example IDOC in status 51 for longer than 5 minutes)."

How to find it out inbound or outbound IDOC?

i just want to alert if the idoc get failed.

Hi Neni,

An inbound IDOC is the one that comes to your system and needs to be posted and outbound is the one that your system sends to another system. The most common monitoring scenario is monitoring inbound IDOCs in error (e.g status 51).  In WE02 you can see which status gives you a red lamp (error) and usually if it's red and status has number above 50 that means that it is an inbound IDOC in error. Here you can find description of all possible IDOCs statuses http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/IDoc+Statuses

At the end you need to define on your own what is an error situation for you.

Hi Neni,

I'm still not quite clear on your scenario, let me rephrase the question: What is an alert situation for you, in what situation you want alert to be generated?

Johannes Fleig wrote a good blog about IDOC monitoring and print screens are still from the old version, so you can take a look here:
