MRP recommending the same orders again

Hi

When we issue Purchase and Production orders from MRP and if these are not completed or goods or not received on time , MRP will recommend the same purchase and production orders again with different due dates.

this is creating a major problem for our company, sometimes goods take a bit more than their usual lead time to get in the store (this when the PO goes into goods receipt) and production orders are completed 1 or 2 days late (this is when we report completion)

how can we avoid MRP recommending the same ordes again, even if the previous ones are past their due date ? is there any add-on or an SDK code that can help?

we run SAP Business One 8.81

Hi all

I know I didnt get any replies on this, but I found a way to avoid MRP re-recommending the same items in overdue purchase order. it is something I was not aware of but available in SAP business one.

What is needed to be done is to run the MRP scenario and setting the start date to be old enough to inculde the already issued pruchase orders which are not recieved yet.

in my case i set this date to be 3 months earlier than the current one.

this has solved the problem of purchase orders but for not overdue production orders
