Dear Friends,
I am working on BPC 7.0 MS and we have two production environment (i.e old & new). The client want me to move all the reports (only reports) from old to new environment. I am familiar with transportation in NW, but I am not familiar with transportation in MS. Kindly let me know the steps involved in transporting reports form one environment to another.
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
in MS BPC there aren't automatic transports so you must connect on the servers open the Webfolders\<appset>\<application>\eexcel etc where you have saved the reports and manually copy these reports to the destination folder on the new server.
Kind regards
Roberto

Hi Roberto,
Thanks for your reply. You are a great help to BPC consultants.
From your reply what I understand that I need to log to two servers simantiousnouly and then copy & past from old environment to new environment.
I want business users to transport their own reports. But I guess all of then will need access to old and new server.
So is there any way in which this work can be performed by business users themselves.
Thanks Again,
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
yes you need an access in read write to the 2 folders on the related server, but this activity should be for an admin or BPC developer not for normal user, i.e. few people that have admin rights.
If you want to give this possibility to normal user then you must build, with SSIS, a package that copy and send through FTP the content of a folder to another server.
Kind regards
Roberto
