batch from sales order to production order

Dear Experts,

I have a basic question , in MTO can we use batch management such that

A) batch will be created in sales order and

B) it will be attched to resulting plan order after MRP and

C)also be associated with production order, in production order we will Change/assign few values to characterstic

D)and then again while doing GR will change or add new values to charcterstic?

Dear,

I think it is not possible in standard SAP but you can use the functionality of production memo. While creating sales order maintain batch number there in that production memo so I will get copied to production order also in Production memo tap in MTO. Then you can use same batch for production and GR. Also you can develop custom program to copy that number to batch field.

Dear,

Within the make-to-order production, [Production memo] will be available for this purpose in order to be visible in Production Order.

1. Select the item in the sales order

2. Select Goto -> Item -> Text

3. Create a production memo by specifying the language key

After saving the sales order,you can go to Production Order and now a new tab called "Production Memo" will be visible to you. Here you can see the same text you entered in sales Order.
