column header disappeared from BSP tableviews following upgrade from ECC5 to ECC6

We are in the process of upgrading from ECC5 to ECC6 and the column headers have disappeared from ALL the BSP tableviews.

I have tried replacing the htmlb:tableViewColumns with an iterator but it makes no difference. I have added explicit columnHeaderVisible = "true".

Any ideas?
