Hi Gurus,
My client's requirement is to generate a WSR which entails every Sat and Sun off alternately. Which means, this Sat they would be working, Sun OFF. Then next week, SAT is a working day, SUN is an off Day. This pattern continues infinity until the EE resigns.
I am not very sure which is the best configuration or advice to provide to client that has not much of a maintenance hassle. In the system, we have already created 2 period work schedule (PWS) and 1 work schedule rule (WSR). As only 1 WSR only consists of 1 PWS, we're stuck here as creating 2 WSR will cause much hassles to change/create the IT0007 record every other week?
So far, below are a few workarounds I came across and could be thought-off but with limitations:
1. Delimit the WSR to the suitable period and then replace the PWS A to PWS B >> This is acceptable for quarterly or half-yearly but imagine at least 52 delimitation?
2. Create 2 WSR and advise market to change their WSR every week >> This isn't really a permanent solution 😞
3. Create only 1 PWS and 1 WSR with either SAT/SUN OFF. Use substitution infotype to bypass the initial WSR configuration >> Again, client request us to do something and advising this approach to them, it's like not helping them to reduce their workload with SAP configuration.
Any other possible approach/workaround i could look into it?
Thanks a lot in advance!
There are lots of documentation available on the web regarding this subject, and you could start with https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/HCM+Time+Management
As Sasmita mentioned, create a Periodic Work Schedule that details the 2 weeks (T551A-WONUM).

you can have pws1 and pws2.on the 3rd week pws1 is repeated and on the 4th week pws2 gets repeated and it continues

Sorry, abit confusing on the requirement with Typo. Here is the correction:
"Which means, this Sat they would be working, Sun OFF. Then next week, SAT is a OFF day, SUN is a working day. This pattern continues infinity until the EE resigns...."
