Add extra column for longtext in CV04N report list

Hi All ,

Requirement is to add extra column for long text in CV04N report list .

Tried to explore some information from SDN  , i have got some info to use FM 'DDIC_DATA_DESCRIPTION_SCAN' in method if_ex_document_main01~after_search_data .

But here i think we cant add any extra field like long text ( 255 char )  ,only can use reserve field of char 14.

Is there any other way to achieve this requirement?

U can add any extra field, not only reserved fields, but it will display max 128 chars (ALV Grid restriction). What do u mean saying "Long Text". Usualy "Long Text" is a table of char 132, but not just a line of char255.

I have a similar requirement.

Can you explain a bit more how to use BAdI "IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN01~AFTER_SEARCH_DATA" and FM "DDIC_DATA_DESCRIPTION_SCAN" to add extra fields to the ALV report in CV04N without using the reserved fields, please?
