More than One Step in a JOB

Hi Experts!.

I am trying to program a JOB that sends the information to the mail of some users.

The problem is that the result of the job gives me more than one spool and when I send it to a distribution list it sends only the result of one step.

Thanks.

Alex

Hi Alex,

First you need to create a Distribution list and assign the spool recipient in your background job. You can add any number of steps in your background job and it will directly send to the user with the attachment.

You can able to track this with the help of job log and also with the help of SOST. Also check the settings in SCOT which the SAP system allow to receive the mail to external email ids.

let me know if you have any queries and appreciate if it helps.

Hi Silambharasan.

I have already done this. I have created the distribution list and i put it in the field:

There is no way to select all the steps of the job. Look this is the result of the final execution:

Then I choose All Spool list , and as you can see there are many of them:

Once it has finished if i go to sost:

There is only one step.

This is the distribution list:

Where can I add the steps? Would you be so kind to send me some screen shots?.

Thanks for your useful help.

Hi Alex,

Can you provide me the job log for that job. And also if possible provide me the SOST screenshot for the time interval 19/07/2012 15.46

Hi Alex,

As analyzed i found a two note, all the setting in your background job are very fine.

Check the two notes which is totally related your error.

Note 735379 - Not all spool lists of a job step are sent (1)

Note 1513987 - Not all spool lists of a job step are sent (2)

Also note that the maximum lines in an attachment will be 1000 lines.

Let me know if you have any queries and appreciate if it helps.
