working locally giving error when trying to deploy and run in cloud

To my knowledge, i have followed all the steps which have been mentioned to have HELLO WORLD application to be hosted in cloud. Surprisingly it is working fine for Local NEO scenario, but when i try to run on cloud, i am getting following error.

Appreciate a quick help on this.

    Hello Pradeep,

Which landscape are you using for deployment?

I suppose that the combination of account and landscape are incorrect. Usually SAP employes deploy on the internal "prod" landscape and account "sap". If you are trying to deploy to the productive landscape, it is normal to fail.

    Kind Regards,

    Alex

    • Hi Manoj,

though question to answer. Depends on what you want to do with it? In general I'd say having a solid understanding of how-to build web apps should help a lot. Might want to look into writing Servlets to get the basics and then may continue with JAX-RS like Jersey or Apache CXF.

Getting familiar with Spring framework is always a good idea in my opinion. Some understanding of HTML5, JavaScript and CSS certainly won't harm.

But really, the sky is the limit.... just think about what you want to do and check out the major OpenSource libraries.

For a quick overview on how Cloud apps may be structured you may want to look at the following slideshare: http://www.slideshare.net/steinermatt/communitydriven-development

    Hi Pradeep,

well, judging by the error screen you've shown us it sounds like you already have a running application in your account. Hence, resolving this problem may be as easy as to stop the currently running app on the account page and then trying it again.

    Hope that helps...

    BR,

    Matthias
