Varient Configuration

We are unable to select Characteristic value for Configured material (Material Type-KWAT) during PO Creation, Configured materials is maintained Classification view in the Material master record.

Now Material Variant Classification in the PO is not Changeable, it's opening in Display mode.

We have requirement that system show edit or change mode in Characteristic vlue for respective characteristic for Configured materials during PO creation. Please find attached file from PO creation.

but it i showing changeable mode during sales order or production order,
