BPMon - Order to Cash configuration queries

Hi Expert,

I am configuring BPMon for Order To Cash transactions like Create Sales Order,Create Purchase Order,  Create billing Docs , Packing and Shipping  etc.

Customer DB Size : 80 TB

Per day Transcation : 300 million transactions /day

my Question :

• How to maintain such a big transcation data in solman using BPMon ?
• How to store such a data in solman infocubes (or) we can use BW system infocube to collect the data?
• Any retention period to store data for BPMon in solman infocubes ?
• while collecting the data from satellite sysem lead to any system performance issue?

Please help to clarifiy the doubt.

In Solution Manager system, there is any retention period to store data in infocubes like BPMon , RCA .. monitoring data?

Hi,

yes, we do some cases manually set,

example IT performane reporting on 7.0 EHP1

for rca and other reporting  we had house keeping jobs,( This needs to be done when you do the Trend analysis reporting)

Regarding your other query on Performance, while Sizing itself you had criteria number of alerts and other criteria, so map your system Memory config against this, if not okie, you need adjust or other case you need to increase space,

If you activate BPMon bi reporting, please make sure you activated this house keeping jobs, else each week 3 gb data got filled (checked by our EWA reports) and DB grow higer and higer every month,.

While collecting data from satellite system for BPMon , it lead to any performance issue in satellite system?

hi,

no, it wont make any big cause in satellite system(because only data collection is on satelite system) , it is regular 5% cpu usage due to data collecton.

i m nt sure any details available, but we do have some sap notes for optimize workload performance.
