TOA01-ARC_DOC_ID: ArchiveLink, FileNet

Hello,

Does anybody know how SAP get next value for field TOA01-ARC_DOC_ID?

After production refresh test system creates record in TOA01 table with already existing arc_doc_id number.

Hi,

so far as i know,

arc_doc_id comes from the archiv-system and is not

created from SAP

Thanks Andreas for your reply,

We're comming to same conclusion but not able find whether it is (next sequential number) kept in a file on the FileNet server or in the some table FileNet database.

Thanks.

Actaully (I hate to sound like a consultant here, but...) "it depends." If the ArchiveLink version used (specified in TA OAC0)is 0031, then the DocIdString is generated by the archive server in every case. If the ArchiveLink version used is 0045, for incoming docs the archive server still probably generates the docidstr (being an IXOS guy, I am guessing), but for SAP-generated files (Data Archive files, outgoing PDFs, printlists) SAP actually generates the DocIdStrs. I could probably find the function module that does this if you need... but I am kind of swamped at the moment.

Regardless, I hope this helps in some small way.

Hi

I need to have LATEST DOCUMENT from table TOA01 which is being used by SAP to link T&E Document with ATTACHED scanned images.

As Table - TOA01 doesn't have TIME field unable to find out which ATTACHMENT is LATEST one.

Do anyone knows how to SAP generating ARC_DOC_ID? Is there any FM / Configuration for the same to figure out the sequence?

Your co-operation will help.
