Standard cost for Configurable material

Hi experts!

I have setup a variant configuration scenario and i would like to use the standard cost (ck11n) as the cost of my variant material instead of using the sales order cost... Our company would like to maintain 1 standard cost for every FERT that we have.. as you could see i used the variant material as FERT instead of assigning it as a KMAT. i'd appreciate every response.

Dear,

If you are using a valuated sales order stock, it is often not possible to derive the standard price from a standard cost estimate for the material. The standard price is determined according to the settings in the requirements class.

You can use the user Exit COPCP002 / EXIT_SAPLCK36_001 which is designed exclusively for valuated sales order stock.

yeah i am using valuated sales order stocks. and i believe standard cost for configurable materials are calculated on a sales order level thus the standard cost is based on the characteristics we choose during order entry and would be captured during BOM explosion at mrp run.  i've checked the settings and it is setup to get cost of goods manufactured at sales order level material type is KEK.

YEs, Mostly Costing for variant configuration is carried out in Sale order level , Based on requirement class ocnfig while saving system will automatically calculate the  cost

Or sale order --> extras --> costing we can caluclate the cost

While costing system will read the BOM and routing also system will check teh variant pricing and detrmine the Cost of the material

Once the costing is carried out , you can see the EK02 price( costing price)  condition in updated in item conditions

While doing production GR ( for the sale order) system will Take the price from the EK02 and give the GR price
