Hi Everyone-
My company uses group assets to pool depreciation on book one of individual assets for regulatory purposes. In AO74 we a have a Transaction Type (TT) Z23 (from what I can tell is a copy of a standard key) that we use to retire assets in ABAVN (Asset Retirement by Scrapping). In TT Z23’s configuration we have checked the Deactivate Fixed asset box (data element XDEAKT). My understanding is when we process a full retirement on an individual asset the deactivation should be set on the assets master record if the deactivation check box is selected. Our problem is it only works on companies that don’t use group assets for deprecation. Can anyone help with advice or configuration documents? I am new to SAP. I am not looking for just steps how to fix it…I am looking for an explanation on why this happen. Thank you in advance for your help.
