Hi Experts,
Currently m working on SAP HR implementation project of the country Saudi Arabia. Client has below requirement with respect to sick leave payment.
Client is following "Negative Time Management" approach and Sick leave pociy is as below:
1. During first year of sick leave - Employee is entitled for first 30 days 100% Payment, next 60 days he/she is entitled for 75% Payment and sick leave more than 90 days = No payment.
Here first year of sick leave means: if employee takes first sick leave effective 1 Jan 2011, then policy will be applicable till 31 December 2011 and if he takes first sick leave 1 May 2011 then sick lleave year will be 30 April 2012 etc....
2. Client want only once Sick Leave Absence Type and calculation should follow as mentioned above.
3. As client is not implementing possiive time management, how do i keep check for sick leave for first 30 day, for 60 days and more that 90 days.
4. Absence Valuation for Absence Type is 100%, however employee should get paid as per the policy mentioned above.
5. We need to calculate salary for sick leave without any ABAP development.
6. How do i map this requirement throug PCR?
7. Employee will get salary for all the wage type maintained in IT0008.
Pls suggest.

.
hi,
1. create 1 absence type,1 counting rule.
2. create 3 quotas,
when you define base entitlement use day balance field, here insert your time type as per your requirement that is 30,60 and 90 days. for this you need to write a small pcr.
when you add day balance in to time type add the same into wage type.so that you can valuate those time wage type in payroll. create 2 wage types for 75% and for unpaid absences.
3. create 1 deduction rule, when you define this rule keep all the quotas in ascending order for deduction.
4. write pcr in payroll to valuate your time wage types. i.e. 75% and for unpaid absences.
5.Regarding validity of quota you need to generate quota when employee is applying for sick leave manually for individual employees, for this you can do configuration in generation rules.

Hi
I have configured this in the past and I have created 100% unpaid sick leave , 75% unpaid sick leave and Paid sick leave types
The end user have to create the leave records accordingly and in the payroll with valulation % to this leave you can keep 75% pay and 100% deduction and show up in the payslip
Given below is the sample screen shot

Hi Venkata,
Thank you for you reply.
We have already shown this solution to the client and they are not accepting. Client do not want to end user to maintain 3 differant types of leave for payment.
Client not accepting this. Like i said in my question, calclation should be automatic with help of PCR.
Only one Absence Type - i.e. Sick Leave.

Hi,
I have one doubt .Is this applicable only for the newly appointed employee .
Is this scenario like this
employee hired on 1.1.2012 and takes leave on 1.2.2012--1.3.2012(30 days)
then only the first year say only 1.2.2012- 28.2.2013 will be taken in to account ...
I am not clear only with this.Should we go from the appointment date or the first sick leave start date. Please throw some light on that
Thanks
Sridharan
Hi Sridharan,
Thanks for reply.
During single year, whether sick leaves r continuous or non continuous, the above said policy will b applied. So here single year means at any time employee may take sick leav.No connection with appointment date.
Eg. Assume employee's joinig date is 8 August 2012, n he/she takes first sick leave 20 November 2013, so here sick leave single year will be 20 November 2013 to October 2014 & this will change employee to employee because we can't predict that when employee will taking sick leav.
Pls let me know if you need any other information.
Kind Regards,
Hemant Mane.
Hi Hemant,
As per your example.
Employee Sick leave year will be November 2013 to October 2014.
my doubt is what will happen after October 2014? Will there be new sickness for next year in November?or again they will wait for employee to apply sick leave? as it cannot be predicted.
this information shall help.
