Difference between payscale grouping and allowance grouping?

Hi Experts,

As iam new to indian payroll i want to know the excat difference between payscale grouping and allowance grouping?

I went through google its showing that PAyscale grouping consists of 

1.Employee subgroup grouping for Collective  Agreement Provision (CAP) 2. Pay scale area  3.Pay scale type  4 Pay scale group  5. Pay scale level

and same for Allowance grouping. the what is the difference between these two.?

Experts..... Plz help......

allow groupings can be assigned to different pay scale groupings for calculation of ptax, exemptions, ,DA & etc....
