infoobjects and infoareas

I have created one characteristic infoobject zmaterial and one kf zprice.
They both appear under "Unassigned characteristics" and "Not assigned key figures" in my RSA1--->modelling--->infoobects.
I have inserted the characteristic infoobject zmaterial under my own infoarea "Zobjects".
My infoarea "Zobjects" contains both Infoobject catelog for characteristics and for the keyfigures.

In the RSA1-->modeling-->infoprovider -- the characteristic infoobject zmaterial appears under my infoarea "Zobjects"
But in RSA1-->modeling-->infoobject -- the characteristic infoobject zmaterial appears under infoarea "Unassigned characteristics" and kf zprice appears under "Not assigned key figures".

Why is this case? i want them to appear under my Infoarea "Zobjects".

Because only after which i need to transport them to my quality system.

Hi Raghavendra,

The infoobjects can be created in the following ways:

1) In RSA1, go to info area, right click infoobject catalog and select create infoobjects. Then the infoobjects will be created under that particular info area.

2) In RSD1, if u create info objects here, then they will be assigned to 'unassigned nodes' info area. These are called Free Objects.

If you want your infoobjects to appear in your infoarea, then double click your infoobject catalog > in the resulting tab, click on 'all infoobjects' button > then you get list of all infoobjects available > select required infoobject and drag it under your required infoobject catalog.

Hi,

there are few things which can do

1. You can just drag and drop the Infoobject

2. Delete the Infoobject from Unassigned and try to recreate same under the required Infoarea.

3. Go to Infoarea and double click on it and then right click and then insert the characteristics that u want ..activate the Infoarea..

It will create the TR the with all the Infoobjects ..just delete that and recreate the new TR with new object and that Infoobject catalogue alone..

Hi there,

How do you create the infoobject? using RSD1 or right click corresponding infoobject catalog --> create infoobject

1. If you used RSD1, the created char or KF will go to the unassigned infoobject catalog

2. If you ight click corresponding infoobject catalog --> create infoobject, than that infoobject should be under the respective catalog.

we need to create the infoobjects under the info object catalogs .please check if the info objects you created are assigned to respective cattalogs.
