Not able to release an Activity, If assigned to a WBS

Hello All,

I am facing an issue.I have created a Project profile & Network Profile.When I create Network activities using CN21 we are able to release the activities.Similarly If we create a WBS Structure with Network assigned to Project definition in CJ20N we are able to release the Network & activities.But If we assign the Network and activities under WBS Elements, We are unable to release the activities.

We are getting the following Error,

Activity 0010 Network 4000001: Release not allowed

Message no. CJ191

Diagnosis

You want to release activity 0010 order 4000001.
The business transaction Release however is not allowed for the selected activity.

System Response

Processing stopped.

FYI,

The Availability checks are configured for "No Checks' So the order release is not chceking for Capacity or Material Availability.

When I analyse the Permitted Business transactions in the System Status, Release & Release Operation are in Green(Permitted).

Hi Ravi,

If there are any materials assigned to activity, check whether purchasing data on component is updated.

CJ191 is purely due to master data missing.

Check master data.

I apologise...There was a development existing in the client system which was hampering the release under certain prerequisites.

So I am closing this thread.
