Structural authorizations on object type K

Has anybody ever tried to create structural authorizations on obejct type K - or tried the structural authorizations on the standard cost center hierarchy?

I am searching for knowledge in this area and where I can read about the functionality. How does it work - can it be used in tho CO area etc.?

external object types can only be integrated in the structural authorization check under particular circumstances and preconditions; object type 'K' can not be integrated; please see the explanations below:

    1. In addition to a relationship to an object of Organizational Management, the external object type must also have a corresponding inverse relationship; you can determine from table T77EO which external object types have inverse relationships. If field INREL is flagged, the object type has an inverse relationship in the standard system

    2. The key structure of the external object must be of type 'NUMC 8'. This way, the prerequisite is met to store concrete object IDs for the object in table T77PR in the 'ID' field. You can determine from Transaction SE11 which key structures meet this prerequisite. Example: in structure PKEYS, the relevant data element is defined with type 'NUMC 8', the external object type 'WS' has this structure and an inverse relationship and consequently, it can be included in the structural checks.

    Kind Regards, Reiner

If the standard won't fullfill the needs it might be possible to use the functionality of structural authorazation for external objects.

Take a look to subroutine "build_view1" in the function group "RHAC". With a little bit programming effort this functionality can be reused in user exits or Badis to use structural profiles with external object. (Pay a little bit attention concerning performance problems because the RHBAUS reports won't work here.)
