Access to .NET objects (NOT datasets!)

Hi everybody

A customer of mine has implemented Crystal Reports in Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 - everything works as expected. He uses a .NET class to provide the data to the report - not a dataset object! Now in Visual Studio 2010 he faces the problem that Crystal Reports (the version built in the Visual Studio) always asks for a XML/XSD file - but they don't have such a file. Isn't it possible anymore to connect directly to a .NET class as it was in previous versions?

We use Crystal Reports Designer for Visual Studio 2010 (Version 13.0.3) The data source for the reports are a .NET class of our project (meaning Database Expert > Project Data > .NET Objects). We have a new property in our .NET class which we would like to use in the report. The following screenshots show this process:

If we click on „Aktualisieren“, (= Refresh) the dialog asks for a file path for an XML/XSD file although we use a .NET class as a datasource.

The same issue we have if we simply choose „Verify database“.

What do we need to write into the file path field if anything?
