Hi to all,
I had recently implemented the basic scenario of SAP SD in our company in the test enviroment.
I am planning to achieve the following scenario:
1) Create Sales Order (VA01) Order Type : OR
2) Customer : C (For Example)
Material : M (For Example)
now i want to create the sales order in a manner that :
Material M -> Delivery Date : 07.06.2012 -> Price : 100
Material M -> Delivery Date : 14.06.2012 -> Price : 200
Due to fluctuation of prices same material prices are changed with different delivery dates.
i had maintained condition type with different validatiy dates , but the sales order picks the price from the pricing date for all the line items.
i am using the same pricing procedure but the value of the condition type should be different based on the delivery dates.
please suggest whether this functionality can be achieved or not , or whether there is some other way to achieve.
best regards,
samad farooq
Dear Samad,
Maintain the Delivery date as priceing date in the line item of the sales orders.
If you maintaning the Pricing date in the header of the sales order then it is valid for althe line items of your sale order and maintain the pricing type "B" in VTFL so that when your creating the billing document then it will take the latest price (Billing Creation date as priceing Date).

Dear Siva Ram,
I understand your case. I want to know are you creating condition record for both the materials by using same condition type. If you are using same condition type, the system will overwrite the first condition record when you enter the next condition record. That's why you are seeing same price.
I suggest to manually enter the price and date at item level.
Harsha.

Hi Harsha,
I am using the same condition type , but i am also maintaing the validity periods. Price should be proposed by the condition type according to the validity periods.
To enter price manaully is the last resort you are right, but what i think is that condition type should propose price according to the validity periods i had maintained.

Dear Samad Farooq
When you maintain your condition records always remember that the dates do play a vital role
example of Material M is rs100 from 07.06.2012 to 13.06.2012
Material M is rs200 from 14.06.2012 to desired date
If you try to maintain the price for the same dates , it just over writes the previous value .

Dear Samad Farooq
Your sales order might contain different items with different prices according to the dates you maintain with various prices in the condition record , the effect of the dates in the sales order is from the document date. In the sales document configuration you have option for proposal of delivery date as the current date or even you could provide the lead days in time , thats if you give 7 days then the customer requested delivery date is after 7 days of the current date .

Check in t.code VOV8, for the sales document type, go to field "proposal for pricing date" . Here add value A, so that the line items will be priced based on delivery date.

Hi Shiva Ram,
I followed what you said but still same pricing is based on the date mentioned in the header for all the line items. I suppose that what you suggest only propose the pricing date for automatic entry from the field request delivery date which is also in the header field.
please suggest.
best regards,
samad
