Trip Status to Settled

Hi,

One of the user is trying to settled the very old trips which are backing to 2004 or 2005 now by using transaction code PREC . But, these profit centers for which these trips are going to settle are being deleted due to genuine business reasons. There is no way that these profit centers are going to be recreated.

Is there anyway, there we can change the status of these trips. OR

They are happy to settle these trips to DUMMY profit center. Is there a way that we change redirect these settlements to DUMMY profit center instead of deleted profit centers.

Hi Ravi,

Please delete respective profit center from your travel request or expense sheet and maintain info type 27 sub type 2 Travel expenses and insert active or dummy profit center...

Important thing, Validity period for creating info type must be trip dates (Start date, end dates)

Thanks Muhammad.

We suggested to change the cost center assignment in PR05 for these trips, then approve and settle the same.

I am yet to hear from the user. Please let me know if this approach is OK.

Hi Ravi,

I think both approaches would work. In general, it's always possible to change the status of a TRIP within the perimeter of ANTRG and ABREC, as long as there has been no posting run or further inducement.

Whether you change the cost center in the trip directly or IT 27 or IT 17 or even IT0001 depends on what you want to do.

Ultimately the hierarchy of cost centers used in the coding is: the trip itself --> IT0027 --> IT0017 --> IT0001, i.e. the trip beats all infotypes.
