Prompts have chunk. Need to enable and disable.

Hi All,

From a prompt window in webi, some of my prompts have Chunk, kindly tell me how is this chunk created?, and any possible way to enable and disable this?

hi,

AS per my understandng, this is a generic feature in BO. If the list of values has a large number of possible values then it shows it as different ranges.

Chunk is a range between values.

For one prompt value i am able to see range of values below "Refresh Values" from the screen shot.

i want that to diable. Is there any option to enable and disable those values.

so if i understand this correctly when you disable a chunk it should show the below List of Values

0181CP

025055

0311CP

and when you enable chunk it should show

009

0102702-18457

0120901

0120901-18454

0181CP

025055

0311CP

is that what you want for your LOV's if so there you will have to design custom LOV's to do this

Hi Tauseef,

To be clear, I should not see the "LIST BOX" from my screen shot. Those values in the List box should be disappeared.

See below screnn shot.. This should not appear in my prompt window.. This is happening only for some prompt objects and not for all prompt objects.

How is defined the object at database level ?   char, varchar etc .

then, how is configured in the universe?  Dimension, Measure?

This thread is 3 years old, however how does one disable chunk values? I have this problem for a client and they wish to have this listbox removed as well. Please let me know someone.

Reporting data base: oracle 10g
