Installation of MobileBIService

I am receiving a 404 message from the MobileBIService site after I have deployed the .war file to Tomcat. I am using the latest SP4 with FP3 and copying the .war file from the Mobile14/server folder, as they have seemed to moved this from the client folder. Any thoughts on the issue that would be causing this?

Dear Atul Bhagwat,

I've got the same problem after loging.

And also I've checked the log file, found the request url is not right , which is /BOE/BI/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion&requestSrc=iPad HTTP/1.1So I was wondering if you could tech me how to fix this issue. Thanks for you help in advance.

BTW, I've used http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion to test the mobile services which is correct. Thanks.

Hi,

you need to check the logs during the MobileBIService deployment.

if you see any error mesages in the tomcat logs

also, which version of BO server are you using?

any firewalls in between?

Hi Alan,

The war file needs to be deployed in the webapps folder in tomcat.

Stop tomcat

copy the war file to the webapps folder

Start tomcat

Are you configuring ipad?

Yes, this was copied to the webapps folder. I have followed the installation instructions to the letter, but the /MobileBIService still gets a 404.

Or if you want to be sure that MobileBIService is deployed perfectly just type this in your browser

http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion

If page gives you data in xml that means all is deployed perfectly and works fine , else we have a problem.

Hi Sweta, I'm with a problem in this call, for me it's returning a error

HTTP Status 500 - Servlet.init() for servlet MessageServlet threw exception

Do you have any inputs?

Thanks,

Rodrigo.
