Relay Server Setup with SUP

Hi,

I got problem while setting up relay server with my SUP.

I can see RSOE running in SCC. But when i am trying to connect the device using relay server's ip on device, its not connecting, not even getting registered.

After configuring relay server & RSOE in SCC, I have defined relay server's ip address in New Application connection in "Server name" field & also the port specified is 80.

My relay server's ip address is Public IP Address.

Please suggest, what can be the issue.

Regards,

Shrikant.

    Hello Shrikant,

While you create new user in application connection do not chage ip and port just set a username and activation code that will be sufficent. It sets relayserver ip and port by itself.

    Hi,

Is the relayserver in running state ? You can check this from SybaseControl Center goto->Server->Primary Server->Server Configuration->Outbound Enabler(Tab) here check the staus of the configured relayserver.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I would reccomand to refer relay server log and RSOE logs (on SUP server) to checked first to find that app is hitting server at all or not.

Please check http://<YourRelayServerIP>:<Port> from your device and see it loads or not. if it loads then problem is not with connectivity.

In app, you need to enter following details while connecting to relay server:

    ServerIP

    ServerPort (Http(s))

FarmID --> Using which you connected your SUP server to relay server

    I hope it helps.

    Hello Shrikant,

If your relay server is up and running however you are not able to communicate or even register the device in the sup then please do the following, I belive this will help you to resolve your issues,

If SUP 2.1 and Relay servers are up, connected, you still cannot successfully connect a device to SUP through the Relay Server. Then copy the file dbleng11.dll (on Relay Server) from the ...\ias_relay_server\server\ folder to the <Windows>\System32 folder.

You cannot maintain several profiles for one device ID in the Sybase Control Center. Delete redundant entries and keep only one line item per device.

You can find log files for IIS on the Relay Server at:

             <Windows>\system32\LogFiles\HTTPERR

             <Windows>\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1

    Thanks

      Dear All/Team,

I had the same issue on my environment and I checked with other environment connecting to the Relay Server were working fine only one server was giving the issue as there was previously a different RSOE with the same server id and token code .

I just changed the server id and token code and kept the farm id for sup mbs and rbs same readded the relay server with the new configuration and recreated rsoe and the issue got resolved.

      Rgds
