Change Base unit of measure

Hi Experts,

Greetings to all...

I wish to ask following question (I tried searching for this issue in the forum but couldnt find anything on this):

I am trying to change the Base unit of measure of one of the material. The stock of material does not exist in any of the plant and all the previous stock is consumed. But the system is not allowing me to change the unit of measure. When i looked at the error it shows me the list of the reservation and PO. Where as the goods was issued for the reservation and the PO was received.

In one of the thread of the forum i saw that the system checks for the deletion indicator of PO and Reservation. But in my case the PO and reservation both were completed.

Please suggest if I have missed anything or anything else can be done in this regard.

Pls check that It should not have any BOM or used in any BOM

Hi Uday,

Did you see if system is showing reservation numbers in display errors? generally it is case of subcontracting order in which the given material is used as component.  This reservations are not directly visible in MB23 as 541 movement is not allowed for it. You can look for details of such reservations in tables for reservation RKPF and RESB. There in you can find PO number , other wise you can refer t-code ME2O where you can check requirement list of component.

Delete the material you want to change Base unit for from Subcontracting PO where it is used as component and then try changing unit.

check if delivery completed indicator is marked in the line item and also check if in the reservation document FI issue or detion indicator is flaged etc

Hi Rahul,

Really thankful for your reponse. I verified that Final Issue of all the reservations are marked as X and delivery complete indicator of all the PO is set.

Hi Ajit and sweta,

Really thankful for your response.

I checked that the BOM doesnt exist for it and there are no open PO, PR, Sch Agreement, contract or stock exist in the system.
