Unable to overwrite webi report Using LCM

Hi Experts

I am using BO XI 4.0 ,I tried to move report from production server to development server by using LCM .  At development server LCM i imported  Biar file from production.

My problem is the report is not overwriting at development server ,the report which is same as in production server.

I dont know the abt the option "OVerride file " Any one can tell what the use of this option?

Thanks for reply , i already seen the document ,i want to know in what kind of scenarios we will able to use this overide option ? i am asking abt the main purpose of it
