Different query execution time when run in Bex analyzer and APD

Hello,

I come across a strange problem.  When query is executed in BEX Analyzer it takes about 10 minutes to get loaded and displayed in excel. When the same query is executed in Analysis Process Designer (simple process which writes query result in DSO type Direct updated) it takes about 2,5 hours.

The query result is quite small, about 10 000 rows and 8 columns. The query is based on multiprovider whisch consists of infocube 0IC_C03 and DSO (write optimized) which contains material prices (with detail for plant and warehouse).

Same situation (2,5 query run) appears when I try generate Intermediate results in APD for this query.

Does anyone have idea why APD query run takes so much time?

System version:

SAP BW release 7.00

Patch level 22

Database system: ORACLE

Release: 11.2.0.3.0

Thank you

Hi

Check with Performance Settings i.e. go to RSANWB-->GO TO--->Performance settings if Tick is there for Process Data In Memory then you uncheck that and trigger the APD and see.

Thank you Jagadeesh, but unchecking didn`t help. Query in APD is stil runnig much longer than in BEX analyzer.

I concur fully with Ondra.

Its clear that APD is very much slower than BEx Analyzer.
