Dear all,
Our system is NW 7.3 with 720 kernel BI abap +java system. We are getting strange issue in SMLG, all instances(CI and DI's) shows response time as -1.
We refereed SAP Note 422129 - RZ21: Contexts are in incorrect segment. seems not usefull to solve the issue. Since this is production system , we need it for mandatory monitoring.
Please suggest for a solution
Thanks
Vinayag KC
Hello Vinayag,
The response time used in SMLG is read directly from the CCMS. If a value of 1- is displayed this means the load balancing is not able to read the response time from the shared memory of the monitoring. And indeed the CCMS shared memory is not available on the application servers.
To check the memory configuration of all instances using the command "sappfpar check pf=<instance profile>" and correct the configuration. After restarting the instances with a correct configuration the CCMS shared memory should be created correctly and the response time should be available also in the load balancing.
It can be checked in RZ20 if the values are availabley for the instances one by one:

Hi Vinayag
Kindly refer the SAP Knowledge Base Article 1887982 - SMLG Load Distribution shows response time as "1-"

Hi Vinayag,
Please go through
http://scn.sap.com/thread/1645105
After SAP restart it got fixed for him.
If you have followed SAP Note 422129, in point 7 it has also mentioned, one has to start the instance
if solution provided by note doesn't work.

Vishal
