Enhancing a Standard Workflow

Hi all,

          I am new to workflow. I was asked to enhance a Standard workflow WS12000004 for one step approvel . What are the steps that are to be followed to enhance the this standard workflow.

Scenario : < 3 days and > 3days workflow should trigger and mail should be send. I will be very thankful to all.

Hi Krishna,

Go to PFTC Tcode and give the WF Id 12000004, Select task type as workflow template.

Copy this workflow to custom workflow. and give that number in SWDD. Then add steps according to ur requirement.

In the Standard Workflow I have got two sub Workflows and the tasks . Should I copy the tasks and Sub Flows

Hi,

yes - it is recommended and good practice to make copies of all standard objects if you need to change them in workflow. If however you can use the objects without changing them, it is perfectly fine (and good practice) to use them as they are.
