If by "Multyline Text Box" you mean a free input area for text as generated thru cl_gui_textedit, the answer is NO, selection-screen are not able to use those type of tools (custom control) but...

Module pool dynpro can merge selection-screen and enjoy objects in a screen.

Create a dynpro with a custom container area and a subscreen area -

    - in the custom container area you will maintain the "text box" thru cl_gui_custom_container, cl_gui_textedit -> Controls Tutorial (BC-CI)

    - in the subscreen you will insert a selection-screen -> Level 8: Document: Selection Screens as Subscreens. SelectedSelection Screens as Subscreens in Screen Programming

    • Correction after some investigation :

You may try one of those two hints to add a subscreen area or a custom container when displaying the selection-screen

      hints :

      - create a docking containter by calling cl_gui_docking_container=>dock_at_bottom during the selection-screen ouput

      - define a tabbed block, without any tabs, SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF TABBED BLOCK

In both case you get a subscreen area or a container in which you could display/edit the text lines.

      Regards,

      Raymond

I dont think you can implement a TEXT AREA in a selection screen , you can do it only using the screenpainter because there is no such statement as TEXT AREA for selection screen.
