Trying to create a GR via Idoc MBGMCR02 No stock posting possible for this material

I am trying to create a GR against a PO and am getting the following error “No stock posting possible for this material” I have tried using both MBGMCR02 and MBGMCR03 and get the same error.. This is a text item based PO meaning it has account assignment K and no SAP material number. I am able to post the GR using MIGO. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you trying to use IDOC for posting GR on a text based PO? Normally text POs doesn't need GR, but trying to post the same through Idocs is rather strange.

The GR has to be done so that a 3 way match can occur when posting the invoice.We are using a 3rd party application similiar to SAP SRM. The application will have the GR's done in it and I want the data replicated to SAP.
